COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --Charity Newsies is ready to begin taking applications for its clothing program Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilltop and Linden Columbus Metropolitan Library branches.
You can also get an application between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Charity Newsies' headquarters at 4300 Indianola Ave.
Only residents of Franklin County are eligible. They must be enrolled in a K-12 school--either public, private, Catholic or charter.
After income and documents are verified, Charity Newsies does a home visit with applicants.
Those accepted for the program will get a coat, shirts, pants, underwear and socks at the Charity Newsies store and a $25 voucher for shoes at Payless.
